K-STYLE SELECTS
Editorial Policy & Data Verification Standards
K-STYLE SELECTS is a reference for accurate, basic information about Korean fashion brands, people and events. This page explains where that information comes from, how it is checked, and how mistakes are corrected.
1. Sources
- Brands: the Council of Fashion Designers of Korea (CFDK) member roster, official Seoul Fashion Week line-ups, the brand's official website and social accounts, and material submitted by the brand itself.
- KOLs (people): publicly verifiable material only — the person's official accounts, their agency, and official brand or event announcements. We never collect private contact details or personal information.
- Events: the official Seoul Fashion Week schedule, organiser announcements and the brand's official channels.
2. Verification
- Before publishing, editors check each field against at least one official source. Fields we cannot source are left empty rather than guessed.
- An official brand representative can verify ownership, for example with a company-domain email. After verification, the brand's edits are reviewed by our editors before they go live.
- Brand–KOL–event relationships are marked as confirmed only when an official source exists. Automated suggestions are labelled as suggestions and kept apart from confirmed relationships.
3. Update cycle
- Official rosters and brand websites are re-checked on a recurring basis, with more frequent schedule updates during fashion week seasons.
- Each listing page shows the date of its most recent data update.
- Detail pages without enough descriptive content are kept out of search indexing and advertising until they are improved.
4. Corrections and removal
- Send corrections, outdated information or removal requests through the Contact page or the inquiry option on a brand page. We confirm that the request comes from the brand, person or agency concerned before acting on it.
- Requests from the person themselves or their agency are handled first.
5. Advertising and editorial independence
- To fund the site we may show advertising and use affiliate links (for example hotel bookings). Affiliate links are marked, and ad units carry an “Advertisement” label.
- Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence on which brands are listed, how lists are ordered, or what descriptions say. Brand verification is free, and we do not change information in exchange for payment.
- No advertising appears on sign-in, account, admin, claim, legal or contact pages, or on pages without substantial content.
